About the opportunity
The Services Project Manager is responsible for managing external client engagements to implement Dayforce’s global HCM software platform. Leveraging Dayforce’s implementation methodology, the Project Manager drives the delivery of services according to the agreed-upon scope, timeline, and budget while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will manage multiple concurrent and/or complex projects, working closely with consultants in a matrix environment and partnering with Education, Product Management, Support, and R&D to ensure successful delivery. You will build strong customer relationships, guide them through implementation, and coach the project team to success. You may also deliver Organizational Readiness consulting using Dayforce’s Organizational Readiness toolkit.
This role is based in India and involves collaboration with global teams and clients.
What you’ll get to do
Manage multiple concurrent projects or complex, multi-dimensional projects, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
Plan, manage, and communicate project progress while achieving milestones and maintaining momentum.
Proactively utilize global resources within a matrix environment to maximize productivity.
Set and manage customer expectations regarding project scope, timeline, governance, responsibilities, change control, escalation, risk management, and organizational readiness.
Present and manage sign-off for key milestones and deliverables, including project kick-off, Discovery workbook, Discovery recap, project plan, status reports, steering committee reports, change requests, Sandbox review, UAT, Support transition, and project closure.
Assist customers in driving the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process.
Prepare Change Requests to document changes in scope and/or timeline.
Effectively transition customers to Support after go-live.
Participate in and/or lead project health checks and post–go-live reviews with the PMO.
Motivate teams to document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository.
Ensure high customer satisfaction
Contribute to enhancements of Dayforce’s implementation methodology and PMO through feedback on tools, templates, and best practices.
Complete new release training promptly and maintain knowledge of new or enhanced functionality.
Mentor consultants on best-practice consulting, including workshop facilitation, requirement gathering, and documentation.
Organize and perform assigned responsibilities independently.
Skills and experience we value
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
PMI/PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
3-5 years of experience in HCM application consulting and/or project management.
Global payroll experience is highly desirable.
Experience developing and managing project schedules using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
Strong experience in business process mapping.
Experience in Change Management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with mastery of Microsoft Project and Visio.
Experience in SaaS or cloud-based software implementations preferred.
Deep understanding of common software implementation methodologies.
Experience implementing applications such as Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, or Dayforce HCM (preferred).
Understanding of relational databases and SQL is an asset.
Excellent customer relationship management and strong business acumen.
Ability to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously with competing priorities.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to drive results through multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix structure.
Ability to lead and facilitate customer and internal workshops onsite or remotely.
Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
