The National Sales Manager - Separation leads national sales growth for Zurn Elkay Water Solutions' portfolio of grease, oil, sediment, and solids separation systems-engineered to protect plumbing infrastructure, enhance environmental compliance, and promote water stewardship. This role identifies and develops national sales opportunities, drives strategic market engagement, and partners closely with regional sales, product management, and representative agencies to increase specification and sales conversion.
The ideal candidate brings both commercial leadership and technical understanding of water or wastewater separation technologies, enabling them to position Zurn Elkay as the preferred partner for engineered separation solutions across commercial, industrial, and institutional markets.
Reports to: Separation Category Director
Key Focus Areas
Develop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market share objectives for the Separation product category.
Works with Reps and RSMs to identify strategic targets for conversion and growth within distribution, engineering and contractor segments at a regional level
Build and strengthen relationships with key channel partners, representative agencies, and end users to enhance brand presence and product adoption.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Municipal BDMs, Marketing, and Engineering to align commercial strategy with product development and promotional priorities.
Responsible for helping set up a national distribution stocking plan with inventory availability within each region, co-op programs, rebates, promotions etc.
Works with RSMs to set national and regional pricing strategies to ensure maximum profitability while being highly market competitive
Responsible for owning Initiative growth plans at a national level and cascading down regionally as needed
Develop forecasts, sales reports, and performance dashboards to track progress against goals and identify areas for improvement.
Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and key customer meetings to promote the Zurn Elkay Separation portfolio and expand network influence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 7+ years of sales or business development experience in industrial, commercial plumbing, or water management markets.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a national or regional capacity.
Strong technical acumen and ability to articulate complex product solutions to diverse audiences.
Experience working with sales representative networks, distribution partners, and specifying engineers.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and translate insights into action.
Travel up to 75% as required to support customer and business needs.
