The Senior Accounting Associate must be committed to providing accurate reporting, critical analysis of financial statements, and being an expert in efficiency. In this role, you’ll:
Provide on-going accounting functions for assigned portfolio of clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and benefit entry and cash management
Perform month-end close procedures including reconciliations and posting journal entries
Manage grant tracking including contract review for revenue recognition, expense allocation, invoice preparation, and report creation
Update audit schedules monthly including prepaids, fixed assets, and net assets
Assist assigned clients in annual budget process
Assist Accounting Manager in the audit preparation for assigned clients
Responsible for client engagement including weekly communication for documentation, responding to client emails, creating custom reports for clients, providing recommendations for financial health, and opportunities for improved process, workflow and controls
Troubleshoot accounting and technology/software issues
Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting
CPA License (MO) or CPA candidate preferred
3-5 years of experience in public accounting (audit),corporate accounting, and/or non-profit accounting QuickBooks Online Experience preferred
Advanced Excel user
Is dependable, detail-oriented, tech savvy and trustworthy
Knows how to manage their time and prioritize tasks
Can work independently and identify potential solutions to problems
Is authorized to work in the United States and does not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
